In-Between Thresholds begins with the spaces that exist between one place and another, where boundaries soften and experiences unfold. Courtyards, verandahs, corridors and shaded edges become metaphors for transition, memory and belonging. Across South Asia, these in-between spaces are rarely simply passages. They are places where conversations linger, rituals unfold, shadows shift and identities are negotiated. The exhibition looks at the threshold not as a fixed line separating two conditions, but as a space of possibility, where presence and absence, familiarity and unfamiliarity, interior and exterior continuously overlap. It asks what happens when we pause within these spaces of becoming.

Presented by OSA Studio at Tower Tavern, University of Westminster, during London Design Festival 2026, In-Between Thresholds brings together 10 international artists alongside emerging practitioners connected to 8 universities. Curated and spatially designed by Daksh Goel, the exhibition creates a platform for Indian, South Asian, Brown, diasporic and underrepresented voices within London’s design landscape. Cindrebay joins as title sponsor and collaborator, with TRG and IFJ PLUS supporting the exhibition, while the University of Westminster provides the venue. Through this collaboration between artists, students, institutions and design communities, the exhibition builds a dialogue between South Asia and London, creating a shared space for ideas, identities and perspectives to intersect.
