At Somerset House, London, during Climate Action Week 2025, The Bee Initiative was exhibited as part of a showcase highlighting design responses to climate and biodiversity challenges. The installation introduced a modular system that supports solitary bees in urban environments by providing safe resting and hydration points within fragmented city landscapes. Through a blend of architectural detailing, ecological research, and material experimentation, the exhibit demonstrated how design can act as a mediator between built environments and natural ecosystems. The project encouraged visitors to rethink architecture’s role as an active contributor to environmental repair, emphasizing small-scale, regenerative interventions that nurture coexistence between humans and pollinators within the evolving urban fabric.
